In his imagination Jeffery Camp has always been the onlooker much concerned with the ways people get by. He himself comes into view warily, eyes narrowed with concentration on prospects in hand. What’s so remarkable and touching is his grasp of the elation involved, the profusion of plant life and park life, the magnificence of wrinkling sea, homely proximities and sudden gulping voids.  (William Fever)
